End of Year Celebration Highlights

As we closed out 2024 with the Omega CDC Hope Zone End-of-Year Celebration, we were reminded of our community’s incredible progress and dedication. With 152 people in attendance, the event was a beautiful reflection of the unity and hard work that have defined this year.

In 2024, Hope Zone Work Groups continued to thrive, with 2,600 instances of attendance, including 1,600 from residents. This growth showcases the passion and commitment of our community members to creating meaningful change.

During the celebration, we honored outstanding contributions through the Hope Zone Honors:

• Neighborhood Organization Award – R House Ministries
• Hope Zone Resident Award –  Ruby Harris
• Hope Zone Individual Award  -Porothea Dennis
• Hope Zone Partner Award – Fairview United Methodist Food Pantry
• Hope Zone Youth Leader Award – Ja’Niya Belcher
• Hope Zone Student Ambassador Award – Aaliyah Jennings

We also celebrated the following Work Group Attendance Award Winners, whose dedication has been an inspiration throughout the year:
