Hope Zone Community Garden

07/25/2024

On Saturday, July 13th, community members and volunteers built five raised beds for the Hope Zone Community Garden. The volunteers even built a small raised bed for children.

The Hope Zone Community Garden is an initiative in partnership with the Hanley Sustainability Institute at the University of Dayton. The Hope Zone Community Garden is located on the Omega Harvard Campus. The final phase of the Hope Zone Community Garden will include 40 raised beds, seventy percent of which will be utilized for growing produce!

The Hope Zone Community Garden will serve as a safe and accessible green space, fostering nature-based play and a sense of ownership through urban environmental education. This initiative will engage with young scholars and Senior Loft residents to provide a unique learning experience.
