Hope Zone Dollars Invest in Our Children’s Future!

We are thrilled to announce an exciting development in our commitment to early learning and family economic mobility through the Hope Zone Promise Neighborhood initiative! MVCDC, utilizing Hope Zone dollars, has successfully supported 11 families in opening 529 accounts for 21 children.

In a significant step towards ensuring the school readiness and success of our young ones, MVCDC equally distributed $35,000 from its federal funding into each of these 529 accounts. This initiative aligns directly with our Two-Generation Approach, which aims to support young children and their families by addressing potential disparities and fostering long-term well-being.

This investment not only provides a financial foundation for these children’s educational journeys but also reinforces our dedication to growing a community of engaged families and promoting family economic mobility as a core aspect of well-being. We believe this tangible support will empower these families and help pave the way for a brighter future for our children.
