Reflecting on the Year

As 2023 draws to a close, it’s a perfect time to pause and look back on the incredible journey we’ve had this year. It’s been a year filled with milestones, accomplishments, and most importantly, the unwavering support of an amazing community. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to every individual who has contributed to making this year truly unforgettable.

Our journey has been illuminated by the collective efforts of numerous people, from our dedicated community partners who stood by us in our pursuit of the Hope Zone Promise Neighborhood to the scholars who have graced us with their presence during afternoons of learning and growth. We extend our appreciation to the families whose determination has been our inspiration, the relentless efforts of our staff who tirelessly serve families, and every single person who has held our mission in their thoughts and prayers. Your support has been the cornerstone of our achievements.

This year has been marked by significant milestones, none more impactful than receiving the Hope Zone Promise Neighborhood grant in January. This grant set the stage for a year filled with collaborative work, strategic planning for student success, and forging stronger partnerships. Listening to the voices of our community has been pivotal; their input has been transformed into actions. Initiatives like Know Your Block and Hallowread are testaments to our commitment to supporting community-led endeavors.

As we take stock of our progress, we acknowledge that our journey is far from over. While we celebrate how far we’ve come, our sights are set on an even greater future. With hope as our driving force and an impassioned community rallying with us, the potential for growth and positive change in Northwest Dayton knows no bounds.
