The Heart of the Hope Zone is Community!

Our first Workgroup of 2025 was a success! With 149 participants—including community members, partners, and staff—the room was filled with energy. The engagement from all ages reinforced the power of collective action, reminding us that meaningful change happens when we work together.

At the heart of the Hope Zone is the community, and our community showed up in full force! Together, we explored the unique personal assets each person brings through the gifts of our heads, hands, and hearts. One powerful conversation came from a young scholar who shared that his gift of the hands was gaming. This sparked a discussion on how gaming can foster connections, help bridge gaps for those who may feel isolated, and even serve as a teaching tool to bring people together.

These conversations are just the beginning. With such enthusiasm and collaboration, we can’t wait to see how these ideas take shape throughout the year. The Omega CDC Hope Zone Community is unstoppable, and we’re excited to continue these conversations and our commitment to change!
